The Boy and the Signs

The First Fall

A boy was walking along a sunny road when he suddenly stumbled and fell. His knee was scraped and his forehead hurt. Angrily, he cried out:

— “What kind of Protector are You if You let me fall so hard?”

He chose a different road, not knowing that ahead on the first road a venomous snake was waiting for him.

Rain and the Second Fall

On the second road, thunder cracked and rain began to pour. The boy ran toward a tree for shelter, but he slipped and fell again. He shouted:

— “What kind of Protector are You if You won’t even let me hide from the rain?”

He changed his path once more, unaware that lightning had struck and burned the very tree he wanted to hide beneath.

The Third Road and Doubt

The boy continued on the third road, muttering:

— “I don’t believe in You anymore. You don’t protect me; You only stop me from going where I want.”

Soon he fell again, breaking his arm. In pain, he whispered:

— “I don’t believe You exist. I’ll go through the mountains instead. You don’t help—You only put obstacles in my way.”

The Truth from the Mountain

The boy climbed into the mountains. It was hard, and his body ached. But when he reached the peak, he looked down and saw all three roads: the snake on the first, the charred tree on the second, and a deep abyss at the end of the third.

Quietly, the boy said, “Thank You,” and covered his face with his hands.

Moral

Sometimes what feels like failure is the very thing that protects us from greater harm. Trust your fate and don’t rush to complain.
