— “Why do I have this hump on my back? Is it only for carrying loads?”
The camel decided to ask other animals. First, he went to the deer and asked:
— “You don’t have a hump. So why do I?”
The deer replied:
— “I have fast legs, but your hump helps you survive in the desert.”
Then the camel asked the fox:
— “And what do you know?”
The fox said:
— “Your hump stores fat and water. That’s why you can endure hunger and thirst for days in the desert.”
The camel was very pleased to hear this. He realized that everyone has their own unique strength. His strength was surviving in the desert.
